Course Overview
1. Studying For The Exam
The API 580 Risk Based Inspection certification exam tests the individual’s knowledge and expertise in the field of Risk Based Inspection.
Questions on the exam are based on API RP 580 Risk-Based Inspection, 3rd Edition 2016.
2. Exam Structure
The API 580 exam is 3.25 hours long.
There are 80 questions, of which only 70 are scored. The remaining 10 are pretest, which are not scored. Starting with the August 2021 window, there will be 90 questions, of which only 80 are scored.
All questions are multiple-choice and closed-book. Paper and reference materials are not allowed into the examinations. This exam has a set passing scaled score.
